TRIM, Douglas Edward – of Davison, age 85, passed away September 29, 2017 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Larry Survance officiating. Burial will be in Meadowview Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Friday, October 6, 2017 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. A Memorial Service, under the auspices of Masonic Lodge Post #236, will be held at 7 PM on Friday. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Saturday.
Douglas was born in Flint, MI on May 23, 1932, son of the late Edward and Laura (Pinney) Trim. He married Ann Lorraine Lonsberry on December 1, 1951. He graduated from GMI in skilled trades as tool and dye maker. Douglas was an avid hunter, loved to fish and woodworking. He belonged to Masonic Lodge Post # 236.
Douglas is survived by wife of 66 years, Ann Lorraine Trim; children, Cheryl (Charles) Blossom, Larry (Debra) Trim and Lynn (Roger) Griffin; grandchildren, Chrystal (Robert), Charles III, Constance, Tonya (Brent), Misty (Brett), Joshua (Kayla), Kathryn, Cameron and Chelsea; great-grandchildren, Brayden, Tanner, Bailey, Payton, Owen, Brooklyn, Cole and Alex; siblings, Carla Hedges and Dennis Trim. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to McLaren Hospice, and Jennifer Kekel CNA, for all their care and compassion.
