JOHNSON, Howard Jr. – of Alma, formerly of Flint, age 91, passed away February 18, 2016 at Masonic Pathways in Alma. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Monday, February 22, 2016 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Chaplain Wayne Shidler officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-8 PM Sunday and 12-1 PM Monday. A Masonic Memorial Service will be held 7 PM Sunday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Heart Association.
Howard was born in Olive Hill, KY on December 11, 1924, son of the late Howard and Anna (Wells) Johnson. He proudly served his country with U.S. Army and was a former member of Shawn Baptist Church. Howard was a 32nd degree member of the Free and Accepted Masons, Flushing Lodge #223, UAW Local # 659. He retired from General Motors in 1990.
Howard is survived by his sister, Edna Perry of FL; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mae; wife, Joyce; siblings, Chester, Lois, Ruth, Pauline, Jim, John, Leonard, Ruby and Eva.
