BRIGHT, Avon Marshall - Of Flushing, age 78, died Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Huron Valley Hospital.
Funeral service will be held 7pm Friday, September 14, 2018 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Pastor Tom Knight officiating.
Cremation will take place following the service.
Contributions may be directed to Kindred Hospice.
Visitation 12 Noon Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Avon was born in Flint on July 5, 1940, the son of the late Marshall and Virginia (Allison) Bright. On December 17, 1960, he married Janet Clark. Avon worked for Fisher Body I and Buick City from 1960-1990. He then worked for Cardinal Health from 1994 to present. Avon loved to shop at garage sales.
Surviving are wife, Janet;
children, Todd (Karen), Bruce (Lili) and Julie (John) Fredrick;
grandchildren, Kayla, Dylan, Kelly, Lindsey, Jessica, Brendan and Ethan;
sister, Barb (Rob) Wheaton;
brothers, Denny (Bev), Dan and Bob;
and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Vaughn and Allen.
