DUMONT, Barbara Jean - Of Flint, age 82, passed away peacefully at her home, November 24, 2013 after a brief battle with cancer.
Funeral service will held 1pm Wednesday, November 27, 2013
at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Reverend Julie Herod officiating.
Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to the American Heart Association.
Visitation 1-8pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
Barbara was born in Flint on June 26, 1931. Mrs. Dumont was the daughter of Francis and Lena Hendrick. She married Douglas Dumont on May 1, 1948 and they shared 63 years together until his death in 2011. First and foremost in Barb’s life was her family. She was a wonderful wife, mother and “Nonnie”. She cherished any time spent with her family, especially the annual family camping trips. We will all miss her wisdom, her sense of humor, her wonderful homemade cookies and “Nonnie Jam”.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Sharry Dumont and wife Dianne Parr of Fenton;
son, Joe and wife Marcella Dumont of Flint;
4 grandchildren, Kerri (Norm) Haack, Timothy (Joyce) Romancky, Dana (Kristy) Dumont and Jodi (Tyson) Saunders,
8 great-grandchildren and her Boston Terrier, Mitzi.
