Mrs. JoEl Jernigan was born October 1,1972 in Little Rock, AR to the parents of Jobie and Eloise Jernigan. Her family moved to Flint, MI when she was a child to begin a new life with her Mother Eloise Jernigan, Step-Father Leroy Flurry and 3 brothers. JoEl was affectionately known as Babygirl.
Joel was born with Sickle Cell Anemia Disease and spent many days with the difficulties of the disease. However, she beat the odds of Dr’s to a long life and the birth of her only son Muleek Vonnel Cooper and his son Malachi Vonnel Cooper. JoEl loved spending time with her miracle childsdoing nails, dressing nice, keeping her hair styled and dancing. She also loved spending time with her family, Special Uncle Jessie Russell and all her nieces, nephews, cousins and time with her brothers. JoEl deported this life on Wednesday, February 12,2020 to be present with the Lord, which she accepted into her life.
JoEl leaves to cherish her memory son Muleek V. Cooper, Grandson Malachi V.Cooper, Mother Eloise Jernigan, Step-Father Leroy Flurry, 3 brothers, James E. Moon, Johnny(Melissa) V. Russel Sr., and Vic Damone Jernigan, special Sister in Law Melissa L. Russell, nieces Diana Ariana Moon, Ja’Kari Taylor, Ja’Lisa, Ja’Nay, Ja’Quillia Russell, Brittany, A’Llana, Brianna Jernigan and special niece Celebrity Greene, Nephews Johnny V. Russell Jr., Vic Damone Jernigan Jr. A host of Uncles, Aunts, Cousins other and relatives and friends.
