JENKS, WALTER A.– Of Grand Blanc, age 82, died Saturday, June 1, 2024 at Brookdale of Grand Blanc.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 6, 2024 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Jeff Maxwell officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to Holly Calvary Church or charity of one’s choice.
Visitation 10 a.m. Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Walter was born in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan on February 25, 1942, the son of the late Arnold and Rose (Allen) Jenks.
On October 12, 1963 he married Janet Root.
He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time in mid-Michigan.
Most of all he enjoyed his family very much.
Walter worked at Allied Automotive for many years.
Surviving are his wife, Janet;
2 children, Christopher Jenks and Tina (Jerald) Williams;
9 grandchildren, Jeremy Carnes, Tracy Fultz, Christyl Jenks, Jon Powell, Daniel Jenks, Jacob Williams, Joseph Williams, Charles Jenks and Hunter Williams;
many great-grandchildren;
several nieces, nephews and special cousins.
He was preceded in death by his 4 brothers, Harley, Michael, Randy and Timothy Jenks.
