LOUISE R. OWEN, age 87 of Otisville, died on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at her residence. Her funeral service will be held at 1PM on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at the Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Smith Hill Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday, April 12, 2019 from 1-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Otisville United Methodist Church or Reverence Hospice. Louise was born on May 29, 1931 in Atlas, MI to Emerson and Marion (Burton) Badgley. She married Carroll Owen, Jr. on June 11, 1949. She worked at Citizens Bank in the Otisville branch for 10 years, retiring in 1978. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, baking, cooking, country music, and Tigers baseball. She cherished spending time with her family. Louise was a member of Wesleyettes, United Methodist Women and served on the altar committee at Otisville United Methodist Church, where she was a long time member. She was also a Cub Scout den mother. Louise was a dedicated mother who loved and adored her family. Surviving are her sons: Terry (Darlene) Owen, Michael (Carla) Owen, and Tim (Amanda) Owen; daughters: Cathy (Jim) Krampe and Christy (Bill) Carron; sister and brother-in-law, Gladys and Stan Liddell; 15 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Shirley Gaskins; nephew, Leland (Nancy) Owen; nieces: Margaret (Gary) Tidball and Lynette Owen; and cousin, Doris Barrett. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Carroll; parents, Emerson and Marion Badgley; sister and brother–in-law, Shirley and Carl Atkins; son-in-law, Randy Whitehead; father–in-law, Carroll Owen, Sr.; brothers-in-law: Marion (Ellen) Owen and Max (Ruby) Owen; and nephew, Bob Owen. |
