DeLAGRANGE, Shirley Ann - Of Flint, age 85, died Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at The Pines of Burton. Per Mrs. DeLaGrange's request, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Children's Miracle Network-Hurley Hospital. Shirley was born in Flint, Michigan on October 9, 1926, the daughter of Leslie and Edna (Lamb)Scott, and was a resident of the Flint area all of her life. She attended North Park Academy in Chicago and returned to Flint to marry Robert in 1945. She was a member of McLaren Auxiliary and a charter member of the Flint Power Squadron Auxiliary. Mrs. DeLaGrange was employed, as a secretary, by Carman-Ainsworth School District for 15 years. Surviving are children, Laura DeLaGrange, Robert DeLaGrange II and Lynette and husband Robert Pavelich; 5 grandchildren, Todd and wife Emily Smith, Chad and wife Shari Smith, Cameron DeLaGrange, Lara and husband Jonathon Jones and Audra DeLaGrange; 6 great-grandchildren, Hunter and Tyler Smith, Kinzie Smith, Sienna Smith, Rylie Smith and Olivia Jones; brother, William A. Scott; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, in 1995; parents, Leslie L. and Edna M. (Lamb) Scott; sister, Lynn Moore; sister-in-law, Helen Brown and brother-in-law, Robert J. Brown. Shirley and her family would like to thank the staff at Absolute-Homecare, The Pines of Burton and Avalon Hospice. Their kindness and compassion was greatly appreciated.
