ROSAS, Ismael – of Davison, age 74, passed away April 20, 2013 at McLaren Flint. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday, April 25, 2013 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 2316 W. Coldwater Rd., Flint, MI., 48505; Rev. Fr. Cecilio Reyna Celebrant. Burial, with Military Honors, will be in Dawn Memorial Cemetery, Lapeer. Visitation will be 12-3 and 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. A Rosary will be prayed 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. On Thursday, there will be visitation at the church for one hour prior to the Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Altar Society.
Ismael was born in Ohio City, Ohio on October 30, 1938, son of the late Margarito and Delfina (Hinojosa) Rosas. He married Connie Suarez on June 15, 1968. Ismael proudly served his country with the U. S. Air Force from 1961-1965 as an Electrician. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe where he served as an usher and was on the Fiesta Committee. Ismael was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and the American GI Forum. He was an Electrician with GM and AC West, retiring in 1999 with 33 years of service.
Ismael is survived by his wife, Connie; sons, Christopher and Michael; grandson, Joseph; brother, Margarito Jr.; sister, Virginia; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mary Suarez, Anita Suarez, Joe Suarez and Andy (Darlene) Suarez; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Manuel.
Ismael’s family gives a special thank you to the McLaren nurses and doctors of 5th Floor ICU as well as the Grand Blanc Rehab nurses and aides, especially Laura, Tammy, Angie, Nicole, Sherry, Melissa, Tami and Joanne.
