MELENBRINK, Elizabeth – of Davison, age 91, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2012 at Clare Bridge of Grand Blanc. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Friday, July 20, 2012 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton St., Davison, Rev. Fr. Andrew Czajkowski celebrant. Burial will be in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 4-8 PM Thursday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Friday at the church. A Rosary will be prayed at 6 PM on Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Elizabeth was born in Westphalia, MO on June 28, 1921, daughter of the late Edward and Louise (Schaffer) Bock. Elizabeth Bock married Pete Melenbrink on January 23, 1946. She was an active member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
Elizabeth is survived by children, Edward (Judy), Elaine Mann and Eric (Deniese); 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; special friend, Rose Burns; She was preceded in death by daughter, Eileen; brother, Syl; sister, Irene.
