ROBERTSON, William Cordie "Mr. R" "W.C" - Age 85, Linden, died Monday, September 16, 2013. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Thursday, September 19, 2013 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 East Broad Street, Linden, with Pastor Jack McMaster officiating. Burial will follow in Tyrone Memory Garden. Visitation will be held 4 - 8 pm Wednesday. Those desiring may make contributions to American Cancer Society, Alzheimer's Association or Faith Baptist Church.
Mr. Robertson was born December 9, 1927 in Rector, Arkansas, the son of Charles and Allie (Jones) Robertson. William served in the Navy. He received his Bachelor and Pharmacy degrees from the University of Arkansas. He resided in Linden since 1979, coming from Clarkston. He owned and operated Robertson Pharmacy. Mr. Robertson married Charlotte Delores Rieth in 1949 and she preceded him in death on October 7, 2009. He attended Faith Baptist Church for 30 years.
Mr. Robertson is survived by 2 children, Kimberly (Leon) Threets of Livermore, CA, Charles Robertson (Debbie Long) of Linden; 3 grandchildren, Leon, Erick Threets and Nicole Robertson; great-granddaughter, Jayla Threets; siblings, Louise (R.L.) Hill of Marmaduke, AR., Glenda (Ray) VanGoethem of West Branch, Lavaughn (Rosemary) Robertson of Florence, AL; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, William Curtis; brother, Dennis; sisters, Vonna Lou Robertson, Lucille McIntosh and Lottie Benson. Online condolences may be posted on the obituaries page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
