HAHN, John D. – Of Grand Blanc, age 81, passed away Friday, March 15, 2019 at Brookdale Senior Living Center in Grand Blanc.
Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday, March 17, 2019 at the Graff Chapel at Evergreen Cemetery, 3145 Hill road, Grand Blanc, Dr. Max B. Hayden officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association Greater Michigan Chapter or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
John was born on September 10, 1937 in Flint, Michigan to Clifton and Nina (Mungle) Hahn.
On November 25, 1966, he married the former Barbara Lee Frey in Paragould, Arkansas.
After being Honorably Discharged from the United States Air Force, John was employed as a Machine Repairman at the Flint V-8 Engine Plant for over thirty years until his retirement in 1995.
He was an avid fisherman, hunter and golfer throughout his life. He also enjoyed watching sports, especially hockey, baseball, football, and basketball.
John is survived by his two sons, Steven Hahn and his wife Mary of Northfield, MN and Keith Hahn and his wife Dru Doran of Clarkston, MI, two grandchildren, Erin and Luke Hahn, two sisters Margie Howard and Judy Meyer, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifton and Nina, and his wife Barbara Lee (Frey)Hahn in 2012.
