BROWN, Janet Marie - Of Burton, age 53, passed peacefully after battling pancreatic cancer for over 2 years Sunday, February 28, 2016 at her residence.
A memorial service will be held 2pm Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Pastor Chris Lutterman officiating.
Cremation has taken place.
Visitation 1pm Wednesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Dream Foundation, 1528 Chapala St. Suite 304, Santa Barbara, CA 93101, or to the family for final expenses.
Janet was born in Burton on December 29, 1962, the daughter of the late Ron and Evelyn Brown. Janet was a hard worker with strong family values. She raised her son, Josh and worked until she became disabled from cancer in January 2014. She had a love for music and attended her favorite singer, Stevie Nicks’ concert for Mother’s Day in 2013. Janet lived with Josh and Jenna who took very good care of her and all of her needs. She was involved with Big Brothers and Big Sisters Program sponsoring Sierra Allen in April, 2013
Surviving are son, Josh Buckwheat and wife Jenna;
Brothers, Rod and Bob;
Sisters, Kim and Kris;
Many nieces, nephews and cousins;
And beloved dog, Mecca.
