Tippett, Margaret C. of Flint, formerly of Flushing, age 98, died Monday, March 11, 2019, at her home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 16, 2019, at Rossell Funeral Home. Rev. Teresa Peterson will officiate. Burial will follow at Flint Memorial Park. Visitation will be 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service.
Margaret was born in Flint, Michigan on November 12, 1920, the daughter of Joseph and Margaret (Smith) McFadden. She married Addis Lee Tippett on July 17, 1942, in Flint. He preceded her in death on December 1, 2012, after 70 years of marriage. Margaret was a member of Flint Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, Ladies Oriental Shrine, and the Flushing Senior Center. She was also a member of Flushing Presbyterian Church. Throughout her younger years, Margaret enjoyed golf and bowling and has remained an avid sports fan, especially the Detroit Tigers and Pistons.
She is survived by her sons, Barry and wife Carmen Tippett, Douglas and wife Debra Tippett; grandchildren, Holly and husband John Hodgkin, Jennifer and husband Michael Herrmann; great-grandchilldren, Maggie, Colin, Skye, Emily and Andrew.
