Dixie Lee Rupright born April 12, 1938 in Sherrard, IL to Albert Clair and Catherine Brown. She was the youngest of 4 children. Dixie moved to San Bernardino, CA where she met the love of her life in 1967 and brought us back to Flint Michigan. Seth Rupright who adopted her two children Teresa and Larry as his own.They have one child together Clair. Dixie worked for the Beecher Schools for over 20 years. She was known to all as Miss Dixie. Dixie had several battles with cancer she was a fighter and won every time. God took her home before the cancer could on September 8, 2020.
Dixie Lee is survived by her husband Seth Rupright and her sister-in-law and best friend Delores Rupright, her daughter Teresa (Michael) Bundy, son Larry (Rachel) Rupright, grand children Shane (Tarra), Aaron, Katie, Taylor, Nick, Lily, Travis, Matt, Megan, and Melissa. Great grandchildren Charlotte, Lydia, Ella, Landon, Lukas, Sonnie and her name sake Dixie. Dixie is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, sister and beloved son Clair Thomas Rupright. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made payable to the family.Visitation Saturday, September 12, 2020 11:00am to 4:00pm
