BINDSCHATEL, Kendall F. – of Clio, age 81, died Friday, March 17, 2017 at his residence surrounded by family. Funeral services will be held 11AM Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at West Vienna United Methodist Church, 5485 W. Wilson RD. – Clio, with full military honors. Pastor Billie Lou Gillespie officiating. Private burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery – Holly. Family will receive visitors at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Monday from 3PM until 8PM and at the church on Tuesday from 9AM until the time of service at 11AM. Memorial contributions may be made to West Vienna United Methodist Church or Reverence Home Health & Hospice.

Kendall was born June 29, 1935 in Maple Forest Twp., Michigan to the late Leo and Mary (Alma) Bindschatel. He married Nancy MacKenzie on April 19, 1953 in Frederic, Michigan. Mr. Bindschatel is a U.S. Navy Korean War Veteran. Kendall retired from Fisher Body – Coldwater with 31 years’ seniority and was a member of the UAW Local #326. He was also a 50-year member of West Vienna United Methodist Church, the Clio American Legion Post #158, life member of the Flint Leo R. Crow VFW Post #8236, and the D.A.V.; Kendall was a carpenter for many years and taught home improvement at Durant School. He enjoyed tutoring children with Kids Hope USA, and entertaining at nursing homes - playing guitar and singing. Above all, Kendall loved spending time with his family.

Surviving are: Wife, Nancy Bindschatel; Son, Kendall (Kimberli) Bindschatel II; Daughters: Cheryl (John) Pare, Brenda (Tim) McVey, Mary (Robert) Schultz, Diane (William) Sanborn, and Amy Mullis (Marquis Fisher); 10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; Sister, Mary Jo (Jan) Gauthier; Loving furry companion, Carson. Kendall was also preceded in death by his siblings. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Reverence Home Health and Hospice for all their love and care.
