SWADLING, Larry – of Burton, MI, age 81, passed away on October 3, 2024. A Funeral Service will be held 12 Noon Friday, October 11, 2024 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. Interment will take place following the service in Meadowview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive visitors 11-2 and 4-7 PM on Thursday, October 10, 2024 and 10 AM Friday until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Special Olympics or Humane Society of Genesee County.
Larry was born in Lapeer, MI on January 2, 1943, son of the late Stanley and Susanne (Irwin) Swadling. He married Corrine Hardenburgh on October 24, 1975 in Burton, MI. Larry served in the National Guard for 4 years. He owned and operated Swadling Realty for over 54 years. Larry loved fishing and going up north. He attended all of his grandkids sporting events. Larry enjoyed being around his family and friends the most.
Larry is survived by his bride, Corrine; daughter “KID”, Tracy (Jeff) Crowley and adopted daughter, Shawn (Kurt) Dunham; grandchildren, Piper, Ashlyn, Lucas and Logan; beloved dog, Abby; siblings, Cheryl (Jim) Keller, Judy (John) Cross, Sue Curtis and Ron Swadling; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by brother, Gary, sister, Peggy and good friend, George.
