Karl Henry Honeck, 86, of Sanford, died peacefully at home, with his family at his side, on Monday, March 25, 2013.
Karl was born in Flint, on Feb. 26, 1927 to the late, Albert and Pearl (Topping) Honeck. On Feb. 26, 2001, Karl married his sweetheart Beverly Sevilla.
Karl served honorably in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Sanford Eagles Club. Karl loved hunting, fishing, bingo and golfing.
Karl is survived by his loving wife of 12 years, Beverly; children, Karen (Mike) McHenry of Sanford, Karla Doane of Scottsdale AZ, Debbie (Bill) Bair of Swartz Creek; stepchildren, Kelly (Bill) Chase of Dallas TX, Frank Rodriguez of Bay City; grandchildren, Sean, Meghan, Nicole, Ryan, Jacob, Karlee, Aaron, Patrick; step grandchildren, Leslie, Carly, Nicholas; sisters, Doris Feindt, Millie Vaughn, Joanne (Henry) Stoklas, Iyla (Jim) Waters; brothers, Bill (Florence), Albert (Maryann) and many, many friends.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Smith-Miner Funeral Home, 2700 W. Wackerly, with Father Dan Fox of St. Agnes Parrish officiating. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 27 from 4 until 7 pm and on Thursday from 10 am until the time of the service. Military honors will be under the auspices of the U. S. Navy and the Midland County Veterans.
Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the MidMichigan Homecare (Hospice) or St. Agnes Catholic Church.
