BARRETT, JoAnn Marie (Mazurkiewicz) – of Flint, MI, age 81, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, January 30, 2017. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423, Rev. Pete Scribner officiating. Burial immediately following in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 2-8 PM Tuesday, January 31, 2017 and 10-11 AM Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or a charity of ones choice, in JoAnn’s memory.
JoAnn was born in Flint, MI on May 30, 1935, daughter of the late Stanley and Mary (Hrapchak) Mazurkiewicz. She married Harold Barrett on September 27, 1957 in Attica, MI and he preceded her in death on September 6, 2006. JoAnn was employed with Roadway Express, retiring in 1994 after 42 years of service. She was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church.
JoAnn is survived by her sister, Madeleine Jens; niece, Sandra (Brad) Fisher; 2 nephews, Gregory (Debbie) Clark and Christian Jens; great-nephew, Kyle (Kimberly) Clark; great-niece, Janelle (Brian) Boosi; great-great-nephew, William Boosi; many other loving family members and friends.
