WEIL, Leo B. Jr. – of Goodrich, age 85, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2011 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 15, 2011 at Goodrich United Methodist Church, 8071 S. State Road (M-15), Goodrich, MI with the Rev. Jeremy Africa officiating. Burial follows at Goodrich Cemetery. Visitation 2 – 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, MI and at church for the hour prior to services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Goodrich United Methodist Church Family Life Center or the American Diabetes Association. Leo was born September 27, 1925 in Terre Haute, Indiana the son of the late Leo and Mary Weil. He graduated from Flint Technical High School in 1943 and served in the U.S. Army in 1945. Leo married Joan Rumsey in Flushing on March 17, 1951 and they moved to Goodrich and started a Dairy Farm. Mr. Weil served on the Goodrich School Board for 7 years and was a DeKalb Seed Dealer for 18 years. Surviving are: wife of 60 years, Joan; daughter, Amy Jo (David) Crumm; son, Daniel (Shauna) Weil; grandchildren, Megan (Joel) Walther, Nicholas (Michele) Weil, Benjamin Crumm, Drew Weil, and Stephanie Weil; sister, Suzanne (Gary) Wilson and many nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.
