WEATHERFORD, Jerry W. “Okie” – Of Flint, age 63, died Monday, October 23, 2017 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. Friday, October 27, 2017 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettell officiating.
Cremation to take place following the service.
Those desiring may make contributions to the family.
Visitation 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Jerry was born on October 12, 1954 in Darlington, South Carolina, the son of the late Carl and Viola (Lee) Weatherford.
He loved camping, fishing, playing cards and spending time with his family and friends.
He was a special deputy with the Genesee County Sheriff’s Department.
Mr. Weatherford retired from GM in 2007, after 30 plus years of service.
Surviving are children, Windy, Heather (Billy) and Nicole (William) Weatherford,
Nathan (Erika) Weatherford, Christal Morse and Christina Brett;
son-in-law, Cornellis Jefferies;
15 grandchildren; 2 great-grandsons;
brother, Douglas (Anna “Aunt Ceil”);
sister, Geraldine Kiesling;
many nieces and nephews;
special friends, Paul, Carson, Todd (Carol).
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Jefferies; sister, Magdeline; brother, Carl and best friend, Gary Jones.
