Phyllis Eleanor Filkins
Age 76 of Maple Grove Township passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2019 at her home.
Per her wishes, no services will be held at this time.
Phyllis was born on May 25, 1943 to Francis and Leora (Tort) Burnham in Caro, MI. She married Billie Ray Filkins Sr. on May 20, 1960; they celebrated 42 years of marriage before he predeceased her in 2002.
Phyllis was a loving homemaker all her life. She always devoted time to her children. She was a member of the New Lothrop Nazarene Church. Phyllis enjoyed crafting, spending time at the Senior Center and her recent trip to Dollywood. Phyllis was a member of the Eastern Stars in Ottisville, Michigan. She was grateful for the care received at Memorial Hospital and the Hospice Organization in Owosso Michigan.
Phyllis is survived by her sons, Douglas (Naomi) Filkins and Billie Ray Filkins Jr.; her daughter, Laura (Adolph) Smith; her grandchildren, Wesley, Justin, Aaron, Vaughn, Mariah, Nicole, Morgan, and LaurieBeth; her 10 great-grandchildren; her brother, Dustin Burnham; her sister, Roberta; and many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her parents; her husband, Billy Ray Filkins Sr.; and her brother, Charles Burnham.
