NASH, John F. – Of Grand Blanc, age 83, died Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at Genesys Hospice Care Center in Goodrich. Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 26, 2011 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Father Jonathan Perrotta officiating. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church Building Fund, The Salvation Army or Genesys Hospice Care Center in Goodrich.
Visitation 9:30 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home. Mr. Nash was born in Larksville, Pennsylvania on May 11, 1928, the son of George and Sarah Nash and was a resident of the Flint area and Grand Blanc most of his life. He married Jean Roberts on September 6, 1952. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
Mr. Nash owned and operated National Cartage Company in Flint, MI.
Surviving are his wife, Geraldine “Jean”; four children, Colleen and husband Carl Thoms of Bad Axe, Bill and wife Connie of Gaines, Jim and wife Lisa of Fenton, Christine and husband Jim Long of Crosby, Texas; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; one sister;
