BROWNRIGG, Norma J. – of Davison, age 80, passed away August 14, 2015 at Hurley Medical Center. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11AM Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton St., Davison; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. Burial will take place in St. John Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 12-8PM Tuesday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. A Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM Tuesday. There will also be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Wednesday at church. Memorial Contributions may be made to Outreach East.
Norma was born in Flint, MI on June 15, 1935, daughter of the late Raymond and Flora Marie (Graves) Flees. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1953. Norma married Gerald M. Brownrigg on February 13, 1954 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Flint, MI. He preceded her in death on December 1, 2011. She was a member at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Davison. Norma enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting but most of all spending time with her family. She was a playground supervisor for Davison Schools for 25 years.
Norma is survived by her daughter-in-law, Shelly Brownrigg; children, Gary (Martha) Brownrigg, Judie (Jim) Allen, Sheryl (Chuck) Hyder, Theresa (David) Unger, Mark Brownrigg, Mary (Allen) Dow; 18 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; two sisters; one brother. She was preceded in death by her son, Bruce and one sister. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the ladies of the Friday night dinner group. Norma truly enjoyed your friendship.
