MORSE, Sheridan L. Jr. - age 79, of Goodrich, died April 20, 2016 at Genesys Health Park. Services will be held 11 AM Saturday, April 23 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint, Dr. William Tabor officiating. Visitation from 9 AM until the time of service Saturday. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the Shriners Children's Hospital.
He was born in 1936 to Sheridan L. Morse and Ellen Connis Morse of Flint. "Louie the Fitter" as he was known at Chevy in the Hole retired from GM in 1993 with 39 years of service. Louie was a member of the F.O.E. 629, Grand Blanc Moose Lodge, and Scottish Rites. He was a 32 degree Mason and Shriner. Later in life he traveled extensively around the world, climbing ancient Roman ruins in Greece. He also climbed Mt. Edna in Sicily and went Piranha fishing in the Amazon River. But he was happiest when sitting in front of a winning slot machine. He was always a ham when singing karaoke songs by Louie Armstrong. We will all miss your smiling face, mellow voice, pranks and old jokes.
He is survived by wife, Annette Morse; son, Stephen; daughter, Sheryl Treadwell; brother, William Tabor; sisters, Eleanor Garrett, Carolyn McBride, Sue Hagerson, Marie Willett. He was preceded in death by his son Ted and sister, Gloria Frederich.
