Snyder, Richard Paul of Flushing, age 78, died Sunday, December 20, 2015, at his home. Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, December 28, 2015, at First Baptist Church, Flushing. Pastor Don Keller will officiate. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, New Lothrop. Visitation will be 1-6 p.m. Sunday at Rossell Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Toys 4 Tots or the Old News Boys.
Richard was born in Owosso, Michigan, on May 29, 1937, the son of Paul and Marie (Holzhausen) Snyder. He was married to Ann Taylor in Las Vegas, Nevada, on April 18, 1990. Richard worked for General Motors and retired after thirty years. He loved going to auction sales, buying and working on old cars in the garage, rebuilding heavy equipment and car engines. He was a kind, gentle man that loved spending time with his family and friends. A man you could always count on and trust. A family leader that embraced us all. Richard loved his family unconditionally, he was a perfect example of a father and grandpa.
Richard is survived by his wife, Ann; brother, Wayne; children, Rich, Deborah (Mike), Billy, Jeff (Pam), Lita (Jeff), Mike (Tiffany); grandchildren, Shandra, David, Kristen, Melissa, Renee, Christopher, Steven, Bella, Lyndsey, Laynie, Jeffrey, Jack, Sophia, Donny, Kendall, McKenna; eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. |
