DOWLESS, Mary L. (Brown) – of Davison, age 96, passed away peacefully with her family on January 23, 2017 at Genesys Health Park. A Funeral Service will be held 12:00 PM Friday, January 27, 2017 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Pastor Steve Turner officiating. Burial will be in Gracelawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 PM Wednesday, January 25, 2017 and Thursday, January 26, 2017. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Mary was born in Brownville, TN on January 8, 1921, daughter of the late Levi and Bessie Brown. She retired from GM in 1978 and was a member of River of Life Church of God, where she loved and served the Lord Jesus Christ.
Mary is survived by her son, James Crossnoe of Davison and his children, Christina (Mike) Karas of Millington and Nathan Crossnoe of Davison; daughter, Janice (Glenn) Fielding of Davison and her children, Glenn A. Fielding of Munising and Greg (Jamie) Fielding of North Branch; many great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis in 1978; son, Randy Dowless; brother, James Brown and sister, Laverne Rathbun.
