VERCAMMEN, James Michael – of Davison, formerly of Colorado, age 59, passed away after a long battle with lung cancer on March 25, 2017 at Genesys Health Park. A Funeral Liturgy will be held 1 PM Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, Rev. Fr. Robert C. Bacik officiating, with Military Honors under the auspices of the American Legion Post # 267. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be from 3-8 PM Tuesday and 12 PM until the time of service on Wednesday at the funeral Home. A Scripture Service will be held at 7 PM on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gary Sinise Foundation , P.O. Box 50008, Studio City, CA 91614-5001.
James was born in Detroit, MI on June 22, 1957, the son of the late Frank and Margaret (Beeuwsaert) Vercammen. He married Gwen Marsh on August 1, 1998. James was employed as a Radio Frequency Technician with Ball Aerospace. James enjoyed fishing, golfing and grilling. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force.
James is survived by his wife, Gwen; brothers, Paul (Joy)Vercammen, Ray (Gayle) Vercammen, Norbert (Linda) Vercammen and John (Sandy) Vercammen; many nieces and nephews.
