Jennie Katheryn Pyles, age 84, of Swartz Creek, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2024 surrounded by her grandchildren and brother. A memorial service will take place at 4:00 PM, Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Pastor Dan Bowman will preside. Visitation will take place from 2:00 PM until the time of service Tuesday.
Jennie was born on December 25, 1939 in Hayward, MO the daughter of the late John and Opal (Crowell) Fisher. She graduated from Mandeville High School, class of 1958. Jennie and Jack Pyles were united in marriage on June 18, 1960. Sadly, he preceded her in death in 2009. She worked for the Genesee County Parks and Recreation of many years as the Executive Assistant before her retirement. Jennie was a member of the former Swartz Creek United Methodist Church and Order of Eastern Stars. Jennie enjoyed getting dressed up, going out to lunch and spending time with family and friends. Her greatest joys in life were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Justen (Carolyn) Walther, Kali (Joseph) D'Haene and Kelsey Walther; great grandchildren, Jackson, Joselyn and Jordyn Walther and JJ D'Haene; brothers, John and George Fisher; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Jennie was preceded in death by her daughter, Jana Walther; and brother, Joe Fisher. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com |
