EDMONDS, Lucille Kathleen (Atwell) Parr – of Edenton, NC, formerly of Mt. Morris, MI, age 96, passed away Monday, December 12, 2016 at Chowan River Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423, Pastor Chris Radcliffe officiating. Interment Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors 11 AM-1 PM Saturday, December 17, 2016 at the funeral home.
Lucille was born in Burt, MI on March 3, 1920, daughter of the late Charles and Mabel (Cowell) Atwell. A homemaker, she was a member of Albemarle Baptist Church, The Order of the Eastern Star Mt. Morris Chapter #474 and was the founder of Handicaps Unlimited in Hampton, VA.
Mrs. Edmonds is survived by her daughter, Diann (Marvin) Goff of Edenton, NC; 1 grandson, Marvin Goff, Jr. of Edenton, NC; 1 great-granddaughter; 4 great-great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-great-grandchild; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Parr and their children, Robert William Parr, Jr. and Barbara Parr, when a tornado struck the family home in the Beecher District of Flint, MI on June 8, 1953. Lucille was also preceded in death by her second husband, John C. Edmonds.
