Carmelita (Reyna) Willard
Age 66 of Owosso passed away Friday, March 7, 2025.
Funeral Services will be held 11am on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Nelson-House Funeral Home, with Rev. Ray Strawser officiating. The family encourages all to wear their favorite sports team gear. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2pm to 8pm. A rosary will be prayed at 7pm.
Carmelita was born December 16, 1958 in Owosso, the daughter of Cirilo and Eustasia (Almanza) Reyna.
She graduated from Owosso High School in the graduating class of 1977 where she was the Home Coming Queen.
Carmelita was a past member of The Eagles and The American Legion in Owosso and in Ludington, along with being apart of Owosso Carts Club. Carmelita enjoyed spending time at Hill and Hollow Campground, Ludington, Summit Beach with all her family and friends. She especially looked forward to being with children and grandchildren.
She was lucky enough to find her soulmate Karl Schmidtfranz in 2005.
Carmelita worked and was known for working at a variety of places throughout but her love was working at Hill and Hollow Campground in Pentwater and known for selling Avon.
Carmelita is survived by partner, Karl Schmidtfranz; daughters, Sidney Crandell and Carly Willard (Chad); step-daughter, Carrie; grandchildren; Cadence (Andrew), Katana, Emma, Skyler, Damien, and Felix; Mother; Eustasia Reyna, siblings, Terry (Joe) Loynes, Stacia Larry) Latunski, and Genie (John) Fulton; brother-in-law, Dan Jones; sister-in-law, Annette Reyna; mother, Eustasia Reyna; many cousins, nieces, nephews and other special family and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband Gary Willard, grandson, Lincoln, father, Cirilo Reyna; brothers, Cid and Ricardo Reyna St.; sisters, Bea Jones and Margie Reyna; niece, Andrea Rachdi (Loynes) .
