SHERBINO, Donald Dee - Of Burton, age 82, died Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at Heartland Healthcare Center-Briarwood.
Funeral service will be held 11am Tuesday, January 28, 2014
at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Pastor Darrell Bailey officiating.
Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family.
Visitation 12-3pm and 5-8pm Monday at the funeral home.
Donald was born in Lansing, MI on February 10, 1931. He was employed with General Motors-Ternstedt for 33 years, retiring in 1986. Don and Linda were married on October 28, 1989 in Flint. Don was a member of the Morning Star Masonic Lodge #522. He was an avid athlete with a passion for softball. He played with the Flintstones (who won the Mid-Michigan Championship in 1988) and several other teams for 20 years after retirement.
Surviving are loving wife, Linda;
daughters, Linda (Mike) Jackson and Cindy (Bob) Popilek;
son, Jeff Sherbino and their mother, Rose Sherbino;
7 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren;
step-daughter, Lynette (Robbie) Lash.
He was preceded in death by his father, Morris Sherbino, mother, Hazel (Dieterle) Sherbino and brother, Robert Sherbino.
