DyAnne Margaret Nathan Franklin, formerly of Davison, Michigan, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2024, at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in McKinney, Texas, at age 84.

DyAnne was born in Pontiac, Michigan, to Milton Charles Nathan and Joan Amelia Beaudry Nathan on May 13, 1940. DyAnne graduated from Berkley High School in 1958 and attended Mott Community College in Flint, Michigan.

DyAnne was the beloved wife of Harry “Ben” Franklin who passed away in 2020. They married in 1964 at the Marine Corps Air Station in Cherry Point, North Carolina. They settled in Davison, Michigan, where they lived for over 40 years and were involved members of Davison Missionary Church. DyAnne could usually be found in either the church library or the children's department. She loved all children and was passionate about working with toddlers and children with special needs. She was an elementary paraprofessional for many years and after retiring from Davison Community Schools continued to work at Creative Learning Center in Davison.DyAnne was known for her sassy wit, kindness towards everyone she met, love of reading, and refusal to drink anything but Coca-Cola. DyAnne moved with her eldest daughter, Barb, to McKinney, Texas, in 2023 where she enjoyed the beautiful sunsets and warmer winters.

DyAnne is survived by her siblings Kathy Gezycki and Tim Nathan; her children Barbra (Brent Simpson) Franklin, Stephen Franklin, and Valarie (Chloe) Franklin; her grandchildren Riley (Will) Hoscheidt, Reagan Simpson, and Rayna Millen; two great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and much-loved friends.

DyAnne was preceded in death by her parents, brother Mike Nathan, and her husband. Her final resting place is beside her husband at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan.
DyAnne’s life will be celebrated with a service and dinner on October 19, 2024, at 2 pm EST at Davison Missionary Church in Davison, Michigan. Her family welcomes all who knew her to come and share memories.

Her family would like to thank the wonderful doctors, nurses, and staff of the Progressive Care Unit at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in McKinney, Texas, for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to Davison Missionary Church - Children's Department
