Christina A. Worden, age 72, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 8, 2016 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. She was born on August 2, 1943 in Lodi, California to parents Rev. George and Rev. Virginia House. Christina was a member of the Community Lighthouse Church. She enjoyed many things like crafting, making floral arrangements, cake decorating, making jewelry, singing in church, camping and fishing. More than anything, she loved her family. Christina can be described by all who knew her as a loving, caring woman who brought sunshine to everyone. Christina is survived by her husband of 31 years, Ervin Worden; children: Melinda (Jack) Shewbuirt, Joseph Gualdoni, George Gualdoni, David (Jessica) Gualdoni, Patty (Steven) Worden, Marie (Pat) Horgan, Teresa (Jeff) Goralski, Ervin Worden, Serena (Mark) Worden; grandchildren: Maurenya (Bryan) Shewbuirt, Justin (Kristi) Shewbuirt, Joseph Gualdoni II, Steven Hurley, Ian Hurley, Trish Price, Carisa (Dana) Garcia, Kyle Horgan, Alicia (Andy) Swisher, Dezerie Hippensteel, Stuart Goralski, and E.J. Worden; eight great grandchildren; mother, Rev. Virginia House; sister, Thelma Congdon; brother-in-law, Charles (Diana) Borntrager; several nieces and nephews; church family members, special friends, Joe and Karen Cook; and other extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, George House; sister, Patricia Borntrager; niece, Darla White. A funeral service will be held at 1pm on Monday, February 15, 2016 at Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc. Visitation will take place on Saturday, February 13, 2016 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm, Sunday, February 14, 2016 from 1-8pm, and one hour prior to the service on Monday beginning at 12pm. Interment at Birch Run Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital in Christina’s name. |
