MURPHY, Sharon Ann (Tenny)-of Davison, age 78, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at home surrounded by her family. A Memorial Service will be held 11 AM Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 706 W. Flint Street, Davison; Pastor Michael Thurau officiating. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Friday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. On Saturday, visitation will be at the church from 10 AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Sharon was born on July 23, 1935 at home to Howard and Audrey (Whitstock) Tenny. She married William Murphy on May 14, 1960 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Davison, MI. Sharon was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the United States Postal Workers Union, retiring from the Davison Post Office in 1996 after 28 years of service.
Sharon was a lifelong resident of Davison and is survived by her daughters, Marcia (Joe) Nance, Karen (Matthew) Owen and Susan (John) Porter; grandchildren, Anastasha (John) Nance, Annie (Jeff) Conkright, Cody and Dalton Owen, Katie Porter; great grandchildren, Trinity Clymer and Dasya Mullaney; siblings, Sonnie Thurau, Kathy (Bob) Boyce, Bill (Linda) Tenny, Krys (John) Mosier; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Suzanne Tenny; and beloved husband, Bill Murphy.
