John Edward Flemming, age 74 years, passed away on September 17, 2024, in the comfort of a care facility in Grand Blanc Township following a long journey with illness.
Born April 12, 1950, in Newport, Arkansas, he was a friendly and familiar face among various communities in Flint throughout his life. He is preceded in death by brothers Charles and William. John is survived by his children Jared, Elisabeth, and Jessica; grandson, Jared II; mother, Mary; siblings, Nathaniel “Ronnie”, Patricia, Cynthia, Stanley, and Linda; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Special acknowledgment to his former wife, Susan, for being his medical and financial advocate during his many years of illness. John lived out his final year under the excellent care of Mrs. Christina Thompson, whom his family is incredibly grateful to. There will be no viewing or service at this time.
