Jerry J. Ethridge, 74, of Lapeer, died Wednesday November 12, 2014.
Jerry was born July 11, 1940 in Lepanta, Arkansas to parents George and Vider (Pratt) Ethridge. He graduated from Bendle High School, class of 1959. Jerry married Esther “Edie” Ethridge on July 23, 1963 in Flint, MI. He worked for AC Delco in Flint for over 30 years. Jerry was an avid NASCAR fan ! No, really, a very devoted NASCAR fan.
Jerry is survived by his children: Lisa (Bud Timmer) Severn of Gillette, WY, Mike (Dawn) Ethridge of Clio and Erin (Bryan) Treat of Lapeer; six grandchildren: Shannon, Mallory, Katelynn, Kaleb, Isaac and Isabelle; eight great grandchildren: Haley, Anthony, Gabe, Addisyn, Kadyn, Grayson, Jaiden and Tyler; sister, Willie Thomas of Flint. Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Edie Ethridge in January of this year; grandson, Austin Bowman; brother, Herb Ethridge; sister-in-law, Pat Ethridge; brother-in-law, Bill Thomas and his parents.
Visitation will be from 2-8PM Friday, November 14, 2014 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer. Jerry’s funeral will be 2:00PM Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Muir’s. Burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Lapeer.
