HUGHES, Walter Gerald “Jerry” “Whitey” – of Davison, age 84, passed away August 4, 2013 at his residence. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, August 10, 2013 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. The family will receive visitors from 1 PM until time of service.
Jerry was born in Genesee Township, MI on August 31, 1928, son of the late Walter and Grace (Baxter) Hughes. He married Jacqueline Wood on March 26, 1952. Jerry enjoyed motorcycles, fishing, aviation and travel. He was a Firefighter for the City of Flint, retiring in 1977.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Hughes; children, Christine Uren, Nelson (Theresa) Hughes and Randall Hughes; grandson, David Uren. He was preceded in death by his brother, William Hughes.
