Mr. Robert Eugene Haga, of Fenton, known to his friends and family as “Bob” or “Gene” was taken to heaven June 10th, 2017 at the age of 87. Bob was born in 1930, in Atkins County, Virginia, to the late John A. and Gracie Ann (nee: Holdaway) Haga. Bob married Eva G. Ross in a simple ceremony on Chistmas Eve in 1952. Bob loved his large garden and could frequently be seen on the lakes fishing or in the woods hunting. Bob was a member of the Fenton Free Methodist Church where he had served his Lord teaching Sunday School, and maintaining the church property. Bob retired from General Motors Truck & Bus in 1985 after more than 30 years of service to the company. Surviving are his devoted wife Eva; sons, Bill and Tony(Mary); grandsons Ben and John; special nieces, Emma and Mary Ann; and many other nieces, nephews, and friends. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Paul, John Jr., and Sherman; and sisters, Beatrice Blevens, Dorothy Musser, Martha, Lizzie Cassel, and Lessie. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4pm-8pm at the Temrowski Family Funeral Home, 500 Main Street in Fenton. His Funeral Service will be held Wednesday 11am at the Fenton Free Methodist Church, 800 North Road, with additional visitation one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Bob’s name to the Fenton Free Methodist Church or Salvation Army. Share memories at temrowskifamilyfuneralhome.com.
