LANGLEY, Huey P. – of Burton, age 80, passed away June 25, 2016 at his residence. Visitation will be 12-8 PM Wednesday and Thursday, June 29 and 30, 2016 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. Burial with Military Honors will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Les Feldick Ministries or Darkhorse Lodge Veteran Retreat Center in memory of Huey Langley or to the family.
Huey was born in Wayne County, MS on August 31, 1935, son of the late Early and Evie (Williams) Langley. He proudly served his country as a U.S. Marine with the 2nd Marine division. Huey married Janet V. Kaufman on August 21, 1965 in Capac, MI. He retired as a heavy equipment operator in 1996 and was a member of the Operating Engineers Union # 324 for 50 years. Huey never met a stranger and was loved by everyone for his sincerity and kindness. He adored his beloved wife for over 50 years and loved his family. Huey was very respected and loved by all of his extended family and friends. He had a wealth of patience, was very soft-spoken and a gentleman, strong in his faith and trust and will be missed by all.
Huey is survived by his wife, Janet; children, Jason and wife Ashley Langley, Jill Sheridan, Jarod Langley; sister, Bonnie Sue; nieces, Charlotte Bickerstaff, Sheryl Lynn Stevison; nephews, Scottie Holland, James Earl Walker, Carlton Ray Walker. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Inez Pace, Ethel Holland and G.V. Langley.
