Of Burton, age 89, died Monday, July 6, 2015 at The Pines of Burton. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 10, 2015 at Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Reverend David Miller officiating. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital. Visitation 1-8 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home. Lola was born in Arbyrd, Missouri on May 18, 1926, the daughter of Rosher and Martha Pickett, and was a resident of Burton. She married Albert Mitchell on July 25, 1953 and he preceded her in death on February 22, 2014. She was a member of Woodside Church. Lola was the owner of a local grocery business. Surviving are her children, Norma and husband William Weirauch of Clio and their children, Lynette, Ryan, Jeff and Kellie; Joseph and wife Bente' Mitchell of Grand Blanc and their children, Russell, Marci and Kylie; Michele and husband Larry Blair of Flushing and their children, Drew, Stephanie and Nick; Ron and wife Wanda Mitchell of Davison and their sons, Albert and Trent; Mike Mitchell and his daughters, Madison and Chandler; great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Sadie Maul of Grand Blanc; many beloved nieces and nephews. Thank you to Dr. Fulton, Angela and the entire office staff for the years of medical care for our mom and dad. A special thank you to The Pines of Burton for the years of support and care to both our mom and dad. A special thank you to Felisha and Kylie for their gentle care of our mom over the last several months. And finally, to Heather, Tina and Sandy, a heartfelt thank you for your years of love and kindness, not only to our parents, but to our entire family.
