Payne, Mrs. Beverley N. – Surrounded by her family, passed peacefully through heaven’s gates on Dec. 14, 2016 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour and the Delta Sigma Theta Inc. Omega Omega ritual, will be at 10:00 a.m., Wed. Dec. 21 at First Trinity Missionary Baptist Church, 1226 Beach St., with the funeral service commencing at 11:00 a.m. Dr. Ezra L. Tillman, Jr. officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery, 3415 E. Hill, Grand Blanc, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church Wed. at 10:00 a.m. Mrs. Payne will lie in state in the Chapel of the Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. The public viewing will be held on Tue. Dec. 20 from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The family will be available to receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donation can be made to: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Flint 410 E.
