Edward Earl Stone, age 85, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2018. He was born on July 6, 1932 in Flint, Michigan to parents George and Marguerite (Sheldon) Stone. Edward proudly served in the US Air Force. He worked as a Parts Purchaser at General Motors for several years. Edward was also a faithful member of South Flint Church of the Nazarene. Edward is survived by his loving wife Joyce A. Stone; children: David (Lorri) Stone, Deanne Hempton; grandchildren: Mitchell Stone, Krystal Stone (and husband Jarred Buetow), Joshua Stone, Nicholas Stone, Jacob Stone; brothers: DeWayne (Barb) Stone, Larry (Marilyn) Stone. He was preceded in death by both parents; grandson Zachary Stone; son-in-law, Dick Hempton. A funeral service with military honors will take place at 10am on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan. Interment at Great Lakes National Cemetery. |
