Taylor, Willis R. of Clio, age 89, died Friday, June 30, 2017 at Maplewood Manor. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Trinity Assembly of God Church, 4363 W. Mount Morris Road, Mt. Morris. Pastor Rob King officiating. Burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Monday, July 10, 2017 from 1-8 PM and Tuesday from 10AM until time of service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Assembly of God Church.

Willis was born November 7, 1927 in Flint, MI. to the late Lewis and Wilma (Rinehart) Taylor. He had resided in Clio for the past 50 years. Willis graduated from Mt Morris High School with the class of 1945 and also attended Central Bible College and graduated in 1956. Willis was ordained in 1959 and pastored at 3 Michigan churches. He served his country in the US Air Force. Willis married Barbara LaBarr in 1947 in Flint, MI. He retired from GM in 1991 after 27 years of service. Willis was a Pastor at Bethel Chapel Assembly of God in Millington for 18 years. He also was an elder at Trinity Assembly of God. Willis enjoyed hunting, fishing, and reading, but his greatest joy was his family.

Surviving are: Wife, Barbara; children: Karen (Henry) Toler, Philip (Patricia) Taylor, Debbie (Jeff) Dickinson; 7 grandchildren, 7 great grand children, with one on the way, and 2 great great grandchildren.
