MORRISSETT, Stanley F. – of Clio, age 69, died Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Serenity Assisted Living in Clio. Funeral services will be held 11AM Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. The Family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Monday from 1PM until 8PM and Tuesday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM. Burial will be 9:30AM Monday, July 16, 2018 at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Stanley was born February 1, 1949 in Flint, Michigan to the late Clyde B. and June A. (Sewell) Morrissett. Mr. Morrissett is a U.S. Army Veteran. He was employed with Buick for several years before retiring from Flint Truck & Bus in 2008 with over 38 years seniority. Stanley loved riding his motorcycle and dancing. He enjoyed trips up north and fishing. Stanley also enjoyed watching westerns and collecting Elvis Presley memorabilia.
Surviving are: Son, Rob Morrissett; 3 granddaughters: Chelsie Lorincz, Erica Morrissett, and Monica Morales; 7 great grandchildren; Siblings: Clinton (Loretta) Morrissett, and Saundra (Paul L.) Gullett; Several nieces and nephews. Stanley was also preceded in death by his brother, Wallace Morrissett, and Sisters in law: Pat and Mary Morrissett.
