GILLIS, Erin Marie – of Davison, age 42, passed away Saturday, February 16, 2019. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Friday, February 22, 2019 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Curt Demoff officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday 4 PM – 8 PM and 12-1 PM prior to the service on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bridgewood Church, 6765 Ratalee Lake Rd., Clarkston, MI 48348.
Erin was born in Flint, MI on May 10, 1976, daughter of Robert and Linda (Yanek) Gillis. She had a strong love for the Lord and her faith was very important to her. Erin was very involved in the church. Her children were the loves of her life. Erin had a special bond with her sister, Nina and brother-in-law, Peter. She earned two Associates Degrees in Education and Communications. Erin was a preschool teacher for Davison Community Schools at the Cardinal’s Nest, and Para-pro at Central Elementary.
Erin is survived by her parents, Robert and Linda; daughter, Emilee Grace Koronka; son, Justin Edward Koronka; significant other, John Prevo; sister, Nina Renee (Peter) Dellisse; many nieces and nephews; very special friends, Bob and Joanne Innskeep, and Pastors Curt and Christy Demoff. She was preceded in death by her infant son, William James Koronka in 2001.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Hurley Pediatric ICU and everyone who has been loving and supportive during this difficult time.
