PAYTON, Dorothy Naomi- Age 90, of Grand Blanc., died Sunday, June 7, 2015. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Friday, June 12, 2015 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 11804 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc. Fr. Gary Koenigsknecht celebrant. Burial will follow in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-4 PM and 6-9PM Thursday, with a Rosary being prayed at 7PM at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road. Those desiring may make contributions to American Heart Association or Humane Society of Genesee County.
Dorothy was born September 22, 1924 in Detroit, the daughter of George and Ocie (Miller) Seery. She retired as a coordinator from General Motors Fisher Body. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Dorothy was a past President of IBG and made "Mats for Cats" and donated them to the Humane Society.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Barbara Howder of WI, John (Sharon) Howder of OH, Linda (Bob) Barlow of Flint, Dottie (Gary) Shaker of Fenton, Nancy (Randy) Schillinger of Grand Blanc; 16 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
