HAGER, William “Scott” - Of Flint, age 63, died Sunday, September 1, 2013 at University Hospitals in Ann Arbor.
Funeral service will be held 6pm Thursday, September 5, 2013
at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Cremation will take place following the service.
Visitation 1-4pm and 6-8pm Wednesday and 5pm Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Scott was born in Flint on June 26, 1950, and was a resident of the Flint area most of his life. Scott was a graduate of Flint Southwestern High School. Scott served in the United States Air Force. He was employed at General Motors Fisher I and retired from Grand Blanc Metal Fab after 30 years. After retirement, Scott worked at the Flint Auto Auction. He was an avid golfer and coin collector. He also enjoyed playing darts and going to the casinos. Watching his grandson wrestle, was one of his favorite things to do.
Surviving are daughter, Tasha (Christopher) Horwath;
son, Dustin;
grandchildren, Caden, Brooks, Tyler and Kayli;
brothers, Mike (Michelle) Hager and Jan (Terri) Jones;
sisters, Margaret Eoff (Jim) Atkinson and Jodi (John) Lapish;
numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Albert Hager, mother, Adele Marie Jones and step-father, Lloyd Jones,
