Greenbaum Joseph -- Age 65 of Swartz Creek, passed away peacefully February 13, 2019. Funeral services will be held 3 PM Saturday February 16 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel our temporary location at Hill Creek Church 5363 Hill Rd., Swartz Creek. celebrant nephew, Scott Florida officiating. Visitation will be 12 PM until time of service on Saturday at Hill Creek Church. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Kidney Foundation.
Joe was born August 28, 1953 in Flint to Henry and Elizabeth Greenbaum. He graduated from Flint Central High School in 1971. He married Deborah Tomaszewski daughter of Anthony and Genevieve on April 24, 1982. They had two children, Zachary and Katherine. As a boy Joe had an ice cream cart and a Flint Journal paper route. Later he worked for Hamady, Kessel and Kroger. Joe was a big sports fan, especially the Detroit Lions and Tigers, and University of Michigan Football. He enjoyed playing cards, especially Pinochle and Euchre. Joe was diagnosed with ESRD and was a dialysis patient for 20 plus years.
Joe is survived by wife, Deborah; son, Zachary and daughter, Katherine; sister, Helen Florida; soon to be daughter in law, Jennifer King and her daughters, Savannah, Shelby and Emma. Tomaszewski brothers in law, Anthony, Michael and Cheryl, Paul, Tim and Sabrina, David and Jessica, and Joseph and Rita; nieces and nephews, Scott Florida, Rachel, Gabrielle, Matthew, Nicole and Vincent Tomaszewski, Maya and Vivian Zander, Anthony Tomaszewski and Breanna Wells; cousins, Leo Milbrot and Joe Greenbaum; more relatives here and in Germany; friends, Pam and Tim Teunis, Meghan and Chauncey McLeod and many more.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, and in laws; his brother, Heinz Stadloder; brother in law, Ken Florida and nephew, Eric Florida.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and dialysis techs who have helped Joe over all the years.
He fought a good fight, now he can rest easy.
