MOORE, Jean S.- Of Clio, age 70, died Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Avalon Hospice in Flint. Funeral services will be held at 9:30AM on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Karen Williams officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 12-8PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Thetford United Methodist Church.
Jean was born July 31, 1942 in Flint to the late Gordon and Alice (Packwood) Grammatico. She married James Moore on January 12, 1962, they shared 51 years together. Jean retired in 2000 from GM Delco after 22 years and was a member of the UAW Local #651. She was a lay leader of the Thetford United Methodist Church. Jean was a member of the Clio Historical Society and the United Way. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed photography and traveling.
Surviving are: husband, James; children, Beckett (Lenny) Short of Clio, Michael (Jacque) Moore of Castle Rock, CO; 5 grandchildren, Kirstin Short, Loren Short, Michael Moore, Laura Kerr, Alayna Moore; 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Janet (Ken) Mathenia of Grand Blanc; and many other family members.
